Our son was very ill and required strong antibiotics so his doctor called this pharmacy personally to make sure they had the medicine she wanted prescribed. My wife and sick son went to the pharmacy and after 20 minute wait were finally told that in fact they don't have the correct drug and will need to contact doctor office for alternative. They said go home and we will deliver. So far so go. Two hours later, we get nothing and our son is suffering with fever and inability to eat so we call the office speak to someone and she said that doctor did not respond yet, call back later. This being Friday afternoon, I call again at 4pm to make sure we don't miss the chance to get this medicine before weekend and I am told that doctor did not respond yet and that I SHOULD CALL DOCTOR OFFICE TO CHECK IF THEIR FAX IS WORKING!!! Yes, we have the sick child waiting for medicine, and we are miles away (while doctor and pharmacy are 500 yards apart), and we should call to arrange for this??? Not only that but person I spoke to was almost offended that I expected that pharmacy would have to chase this. Not to mention, it is apparently perfectly acceptable to have unfulfilled prescription on their desk and they do nothing to notify anybody that nothing is being done. If I did not call, they would have done nothing to deal with this. I called the doctors office, they called the pharmacy (they did not get the fax, but doctor later said that pharmacy said they called and did not fax or leave a voicemail). Finally, acting as a liaison between pharmacy and doctor office I got the prescription filled. But, by that time (5PM) delivery is no longer an option so I had to get dressed (I was also sick) and drive to get it. And when I got there, I am told that they only have half of the dosage for now. And two people gave me two different answers on the dosage (one said 17ml one said 7ml - luckily doctor clarified for us). This is the most unprofessional group I have ever had a misfortune to deal with - in any industry. And since I deal daily with telecom companies I know bad service when I see it. This pharmacy is was worse.
